Lonely

Leo Babauta wrote a great article on loneliness on his blog, Zen Habits, and I feel that this topic becomes more present in some of our lives as we approach Valentine's Day or, as it's also known, Single Awareness Day.

Today, I'm incredibly fortunate to have someone in my life. But if because of search cost or shortage you haven't met someone with who you'd like to keep February 14, spend it with a friend. While I might not be in a position to give advice now, I know from past experiences that both joy and misery love company.

And while you're at it, pick joy too.

Blog Name Change

I recently changed the name of my blog from stevenevens.me to evens.co . The change is slight, but recognizes that I'm no longer a one-man operation - I'm now part of a team. As life changes, so will this blog. And while I've sometimes struggled in finding topics about which to write, marriage brings an abundance of noteworthy and varied ideas. Hopefully, I'll have a few photos to share from the wedding in a few weeks, but until then, I've put together a rough outline of things I intend to write about. Having Dogs

As a kid, I'd never had a pet. The idea of having an animal roam about your home felt like a silly concept and a wasteful use of time and resources. Over the last few years with our two dogs, Sophie and Khloe, I've found enlightenment. Our dogs give us a lot of joy and companionship, particularly when either Caity or I would otherwise be home alone due to our work schedules or other outside commitments.  To end in the most cliché of ways – I couldn't imagine our life without our two furry family members.
