Leadership As A Function Of Power

Through UF SAILE, I found this great article on different types of power and the likely outcomes at which you'll arrive with each type of power.

After reviewing this article, I think I rely strongly on Expert Power and Referent Power, which I guess is a good thing. Of the three types of outcomes, I'm always looking for Commitment over Compliance or Resistance.

Blog Name Change

I recently changed the name of my blog from stevenevens.me to evens.co . The change is slight, but recognizes that I'm no longer a one-man operation - I'm now part of a team. Having Dogs

As a kid, I'd never had a pet. The idea of having an animal roam about your home felt like a silly concept and a wasteful use of time and resources. Over the last few years with our two dogs, Sophie and Khloe, I've found enlightenment. Our dogs give us a lot of joy and companionship, particularly when either Caity or I would otherwise be home alone due to our work schedules or other outside commitments.  To end in the most cliché of ways – I couldn't imagine our life without our two furry family members.
