Weight of the World
Sometimes it feels like the weight of the world rests on your shoulders. Whether it's a sick friend or family member with who you wish you could be, a full schedule leaving you little room to breathe, or the nagging feel that you're falling behind as everyone else surges ahead, we all bear these burdens and others.
And while this weight of the world feels entirely our own, it doesn't need to be. Whether you need or can give help, reach out to others. In these past few weeks I've been blessed on most personal accounts while I've seen tragedy in the lives of others. And while I've stepped in to alleviate these burdens, I realize I'm not always the right person to do it. The person they may need most might be you.
I challenge you take the first step, whether that's reaching out to someone because you need help or reaching out to someone because you can give help. We're only in the first month of the year, but we can make it a great year by coming together and supporting one another. Rather than telling others that you care, show others that you do.
