Simply Dressed

Something I've always found myself thinking over is the way we physically express ourselves, whether it be the shape, size, and color our hair takes to the clothes that bind to our bodies. For me, I think it is advantageous to dress with limited or without accessory so that the ideas we hold and hope to express find minimal detraction in their presentation.

While one could look at many leaders around the world who took to simple dress and whose ideas were much bigger than themselves, including those such as the Steve Jobs and Mahatma Gandhi, the relationship is clearly not one of causation.

However, their wear wore on as part of their identity. The black turtleneck or the shawl and loincloth are not just fibers woven together and worn to alleviate the elements. To those who know and remember, they carry so much more than their stitches.

Steven
