Undergraduate Research

Years down the road, when I go on to reflect on what molded me as an individual at university, those experiences which gave rise to who I am and what I represent, one of the first to come to mind will be my time spent in undergraduate research.

After completing another successful interview this afternoon, I am just flush with excitement as to the direction my project is taking. I can say with confidence that I'm learning something. How pertinent to my intended work and career this remains to be seen, but this is just interesting stuff. Plain and simple. Higher education endowments rock.

Blog Name Change

I recently changed the name of my blog from stevenevens.me to evens.co . The change is slight, but recognizes that I'm no longer a one-man operation - I'm now part of a team. As life changes, so will this blog. And while I've sometimes struggled in finding topics about which to write, marriage brings an abundance of noteworthy and varied ideas. Hopefully, I'll have a few photos to share from the wedding in a few weeks, but until then, I've put together a rough outline of things I intend to write about. Having Dogs

As a kid, I'd never had a pet. The idea of having an animal roam about your home felt like a silly concept and a wasteful use of time and resources. Over the last few years with our two dogs, Sophie and Khloe, I've found enlightenment. Our dogs give us a lot of joy and companionship, particularly when either Caity or I would otherwise be home alone due to our work schedules or other outside commitments.  To end in the most cliché of ways – I couldn't imagine our life without our two furry family members.
