Home for the Weekend

This weekend I'm home in Bradenton and so happy to be here.

This past week in Gainesville was one to beat them all and I'm so incredibly excited to serve as a 2013 Preview Staffer. At the same time, the number of deadlines previously and soon to be met over the past week and upcoming week is incomparable to any other time in my life. And yet, I'm feeling okay.

For all of you who are under similar stress, don't panic and carry on. You're going to be all right.

Blog Name Change

I recently changed the name of my blog from stevenevens.me to evens.co . The change is slight, but recognizes that I'm no longer a one-man operation - I'm now part of a team. As life changes, so will this blog. And while I've sometimes struggled in finding topics about which to write, marriage brings an abundance of noteworthy and varied ideas. Hopefully, I'll have a few photos to share from the wedding in a few weeks, but until then, I've put together a rough outline of things I intend to write about. Having Dogs

As a kid, I'd never had a pet. The idea of having an animal roam about your home felt like a silly concept and a wasteful use of time and resources. Over the last few years with our two dogs, Sophie and Khloe, I've found enlightenment. Our dogs give us a lot of joy and companionship, particularly when either Caity or I would otherwise be home alone due to our work schedules or other outside commitments.  To end in the most cliché of ways – I couldn't imagine our life without our two furry family members.
