Songza

My new favorite app of the week, Songza, is freely available for mobile iOS and Android platforms.

As a Music Concierge service free of audio ads, it tailors playlists for times of day and specific activities like the gym or reading the newspaper. Though I've only used it for the past few days, it appears to trump Pandora Radio, Spotify Radio, and Grooveshark if you're hoping to delve head-first into new musical tastes. Frankly, I've enjoyed it thoroughly.

A word of warning--it does use data like everyone still has unlimited data usage with their wireless provider, so use is recommended only on WiFi. As well, if you're not one to connect your Facebook to other web services, set up will take more than 30 seconds. Otherwise, I've encountered few if any barriers to entry.

Blog Name Change

I recently changed the name of my blog from stevenevens.me to evens.co . The change is slight, but recognizes that I'm no longer a one-man operation - I'm now part of a team. As life changes, so will this blog. And while I've sometimes struggled in finding topics about which to write, marriage brings an abundance of noteworthy and varied ideas. Hopefully, I'll have a few photos to share from the wedding in a few weeks, but until then, I've put together a rough outline of things I intend to write about. Having Dogs

As a kid, I'd never had a pet. The idea of having an animal roam about your home felt like a silly concept and a wasteful use of time and resources. Over the last few years with our two dogs, Sophie and Khloe, I've found enlightenment. Our dogs give us a lot of joy and companionship, particularly when either Caity or I would otherwise be home alone due to our work schedules or other outside commitments.  To end in the most cliché of ways – I couldn't imagine our life without our two furry family members.
