Arrival

I'm presently sitting in my apartment at an IKEA desk listening to John Mayer and the busy street traffic go about its business.


I've arrived safely in Madrid, was quickly ushered to a carpool, delivered to my apartment, given a quick rundown on apartment guidelines and procedures, and then left to my own devices (they're charging as I type). I did not get a wink of sleep on the flight, meaning I will be running without for 24+ hours during today's cycle of sunrise and sunset. Local time, 9:12.


Now it's a waiting game.

Blog Name Change

I recently changed the name of my blog from stevenevens.me to evens.co . The change is slight, but recognizes that I'm no longer a one-man operation - I'm now part of a team. As life changes, so will this blog. And while I've sometimes struggled in finding topics about which to write, marriage brings an abundance of noteworthy and varied ideas. Hopefully, I'll have a few photos to share from the wedding in a few weeks, but until then, I've put together a rough outline of things I intend to write about. Having Dogs

As a kid, I'd never had a pet. The idea of having an animal roam about your home felt like a silly concept and a wasteful use of time and resources. Over the last few years with our two dogs, Sophie and Khloe, I've found enlightenment. Our dogs give us a lot of joy and companionship, particularly when either Caity or I would otherwise be home alone due to our work schedules or other outside commitments.  To end in the most cliché of ways – I couldn't imagine our life without our two furry family members.
