Learn, Earn, Return
A few months back, a gentleman named Shelby Davis came to UF to give a workshop and a facilitate a discussion regarding the past, present, and future happenings on Wall Street.
Since then, I haven't been able to stop thinking about some advice he shared with the group. Today I'll be sharing it with you.
In short: earn, learn, and return. I hope to live by these words.

In your first thirty years, you need to use your time to learn as much as you can and develop your human capital. Make the time to invest in yourself. In your next thirty years, use your skills and studies to spend time earning and working hard. Justify the investment in your education by maximizing your potential. In your last thirty years, make an effort to return what you can. Support charity through financial contribution or share the knowledge you've garnered from your past mistakes. This is one variation on the cycle of life.
In short: earn, learn, and return. I hope to live by these words.
