Hate

As is character of the holiday season, mixed relations have come forth and reconnected often crossing oceans, countries and continents to see the happy faces of those who wait for their coming.

At the same time, I've seen more than enough hate as people physically reunite but emotionally separate. They become emotionally charged and often "speak their mind," to the tune of invective, insult, and plain rudeness.

This saddens me.

Personally, I do not possess the ability to hate or hold grudges over weeks, months, and years as I've seen practiced by others; rather, I'm enveloped by sadness as these developments unfold between those for whom I have great care and love.

Let's stop using the f-word and heated language to describe former partners and friends. The consequences of burning such bridges are numerous and many unintended.

This is a time of year that is joyful for many. Of these many I hope you are one.

Happy Holidays with love and joy, Steven.
