Good Conversations

There is such beauty in the exchange of thoughts and ideas. Lucky am I to have reveled in this blessing many times over the weekend. In addition to good exam grades and the continued accommodation of basic needs, for what I am particularly grateful this week  are these opportunities to talk, listen, and understand one another. I treasure such experiences and pray that they endure with the passage of time.

First, I want to thank you for giving me a ride home tonight and just being a good friend. Even though you couldn't make it to retreat, you're certainly not absent from that love and affinity that we all share for one another in the group.  Hands down, you're just a cool person.

Second, I want to thank you for being active and straightforward regarding your concerns, regardless of  the source from which they stem.  Both of us in our first years, we are halfway to eclipsing one of the most pivotal times in our life. What we pursue will likely determine what we later do and, more importantly, who we later become. With that consideration, we must continue to move carefully but effectively in order to achieve the greater good that is the object of desire.

Right now, life really is pleasure despite my wordy inclinations in writing. I look forward returning home in a few days.

Blog Name Change

I recently changed the name of my blog from stevenevens.me to evens.co . The change is slight, but recognizes that I'm no longer a one-man operation - I'm now part of a team. As life changes, so will this blog. And while I've sometimes struggled in finding topics about which to write, marriage brings an abundance of noteworthy and varied ideas. Having Dogs

As a kid, I'd never had a pet. The idea of having an animal roam about your home felt like a silly concept and a wasteful use of time and resources. Over the last few years with our two dogs, Sophie and Khloe, I've found enlightenment. Our dogs give us a lot of joy and companionship, particularly when either Caity or I would otherwise be home alone due to our work schedules or other outside commitments.  To end in the most cliché of ways – I couldn't imagine our life without our two furry family members.
