In this  month, I'm left to reflect on my thoughts and actions of the past year. In a few words, 2011 was a defining time in my life. The experiences I've enjoyed and suffered have brought me to unseen highs and to my knees.

I had a relationship that lasted not long enough. I graduated high school, something I'll never do again in my life. I entered college, met hundreds of people, and adopted a new way of living.

It's been a time of change, grand in influence and effect. I've been constantly pushing forward without hesitation, often losing things along the way. Reading through some older posts, it's clear that my written voice has changed and perhaps worsened. I can't form thoughts in a cohesive manner as I used to. This upsets me the most.

I've got a lot of learn, and I look forward to what the future offers. As the holidays approach, I plan to work through them. There's much to do.

Last year, I skipped sharing New Year's resolutions because I was never able to get traction in previous years. While that still might be the case for the upcoming year, I'd like to at least make an attempt and start the year with a particular focus on daily habits. Meditate. Exercise. Read. Write. Love. Blog Name Change

I recently changed the name of my blog from stevenevens.me to evens.co . The change is slight, but recognizes that I'm no longer a one-man operation - I'm now part of a team. As life changes, so will this blog. And while I've sometimes struggled in finding topics about which to write, marriage brings an abundance of noteworthy and varied ideas. Hopefully, I'll have a few photos to share from the wedding in a few weeks, but until then, I've put together a rough outline of things I intend to write about. Having Dogs

As a kid, I'd never had a pet. The idea of having an animal roam about your home felt like a silly concept and a wasteful use of time and resources. Over the last few years with our two dogs, Sophie and Khloe, I've found enlightenment. Our dogs give us a lot of joy and companionship, particularly when either Caity or I would otherwise be home alone due to our work schedules or other outside commitments.  To end in the most cliché of ways – I couldn't imagine our life without our two furry family members.
