Bahamas Celebration

I recently went on a two-day cruise to the Bahamas for my eighteenth birthday and I had a lot of fun. Did you know the drinking age in international waters is 18? Neither did I, but nonetheless I did not exercise that right.
I fell asleep out in the sun for the first time on the back deck and I quickly began to crisp. Luckily, the falling rain acted as an alarm and I skirted back to the lounge for a Ginger Ale and some debt ceiling debate on CNN.
The most valuable knowledge I picked up was the importance of a passport upon return. Reentering the United States through customs can be a major pain, but you skip some serious lines by your carriage of a passport versus a birth certificate or other acceptable forms of identification. Before you even travel within the United States, I highly suggest obtaining a passport as a form of identification. It's a great thing to have.
